Spent my day collecting data and information from UN bodies meetings:
1. Shelter and Non-Food Intervention meeting at UN Humanitarian
Information Center.
2. General Humanitarian Coordination Meeting by OCHA.
OCHA’s General Humanitarian Coordination Meeting. UN bodies and,
sometimes, International NGOs presented their updates. While the
meetings are open, they are rarely attended by national and local NGOs
and actors. |
Also start doing not only “concrete works” like in helping aids
deliveries, setting up mobile clinics, preparing emergency schools, but
also some more “conceptual” works like stakeholders consolidation and
coordination. I met some people in local NGOs networks to start
disseminating ideas for a push for “more local participation” in
recovery programs.
