Summary Updates

Spent morning hours with some colleagues at Syiah Kuala University with the idea of setting up a Task Force at our College of Sciences as there has not been enough attention paid to the immediate needs of affected students and staff.

By noon, I was already in Phi-Beta Learning Center helping my friends complete a last cleaning cycle. We require three groups of volunteers to finally clear up the learning center so we can start using it. I asked my friends for a short briefing of our next plans.

2pm. This is the first meeting we’ve had in Phi-Beta. Everybody was exhausted but happy to finally be back at our “little sanctuary”. Phi-Beta has been an icon for educational reform in Aceh, especially in Banda Aceh, with its dedicated teachers and stuff. “A crème de la crème” of informal education.
